Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a platform or springboard, while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally recognized sport that is part of the Olympic Games. Competitors possess many of the same characteristics as gymnasts and dancers, including strength, flexibility, kinaesthetic judgment and air awareness.

Hertfordshire has an active Diving Community who compete in County, Regional, National and International events, the diving clubs cater for a wide range of ages and abilities from youngsters to Masters and from beginner to international level.
